A well-respected company is looking for a Collections Specialist! This Collections Specialist will also cover for the Accounts Receivable Clerk when needed. Responsibilities for the Collection Specialist: - Direct all billing and reporting activities in accordance to deadlines - Ensure the processing of payments - Manage inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence - Catalog all customer payments to the correct reports - Abide by all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations - Oversee and update customer files to ensure data consistency

Job Requirements:
Requirements for Collection Specialist: - AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred - Ability to analyze and make decisions on customer accounts - 2 or more years of prior high volume collections experience - Prior experience using accounting software - Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel - Knowledge of commercial collections - Customer service experience - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Accountemps matches highly skilled professionals with accounting finance jobs at the best companies on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
